Training: Bus & Coach AV Apprenticeship UK

Initially presented to Zenzic in 2025, the Silvera Bus & Coach AV Apprenticeship Programme offers a complete operational curriculum aligned to evolving connected and automated bus and coach standards.

Taking 2025’s Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness for commercial vehicles as a starting point, the course is designed to ensure that all maintenance activities associated with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving Systems (ADS) are completed by competent, qualified technicians in line with the manufacturers’ technical specifications.

Addressing the specific requirements of public transport vehicle maintenance, it includes mechanical and electrical elements, introducing new workflow processes covering calibration, fault finding, geometry adjustment and body repairs.

Further elements cover Health and Safety requirements, Operators Licence obligations and regulations, customer service, and workshop and roadside best practice. On achieving the Silvera Bus & Coach AV Apprenticeship standard, candidates will have the opportunity to progress to Master Technician.
